Lastly nine were given to the probably the weakess mentally the humans. Eventually the elves and every one else realized the corruption the rings could bring exspecually the one. And even though Im not clear on exactly what happened to the other rings I believe they were hid. This lead to a huge war with sauron`s obsession to have all the other rings in his posession. All the elves, dwarf`s ,wizards and more came togather as one to fight off the unimagineable evil powers of Sauron.

Sauron was lead to his down fall with one desperate act of bravery. A human had cut his ring finger completely off. He lost his powers and began longing for the day him and the ring could unite again. Still even though every one had accomplished there main goal bringing a end to Sauron`s powers. The task ahead was long from over, the ring still had to be destoyed. Only one place where that could happen, the same place the ring was forged Mt. Doom. The and a elf went there only to be overcome by the power of the ring. The ring was not destroyed as planned and fell into quite a few hands.

Then the ring by some kind of fate fell into the one single hobbits hands who could get the first felled attempted mission done, Frodo Baggins. His journey soon began accumulating friends and allies along the way. Three hobbits, two humans, a dwarf, one elf, and a wizard all came together as the fellowship of the ring. There task would go on to be hendered by Sauron`s menions and henchmen shall I say. And the rest you would have to just see for yourself.
